Who is "Lift"- LOng Island Fire Trucks.com
behind the webpage:
Long Island Firetrucks.com was organized and created by the Stegner family and many other collectors and friends who were generous enough to let us display their photos. Long Island Fire Department History and Research
Our goal is to create a complete collection of all past and present fire apparatus on Long Island. Everyday that goes by, old photos packed away in basements and attics are one step away of getting lost forever. With the modern digital world upon us, old photos are forgotten about, thrown away and destroyed with the history being lost forever. Our goal is to preserve these photos for people who are passionate about firetrucks and the fire service in general.
